MATC - Texture and Material Editing: Compositing 3D Models Into Photos
For my final assignment, I was given a choice of models to unwrap in 3DS Max, paint/texture in MudBox, and then bring back into Max to composite into a photograph. I chose a Joan of Arc model. Not being content with just a simple paint, I activated my geek gene and went Star Wars on it. Adding a lightsaber of my own design, she became part of a still taken from the Old Republic. After lighting was settled on, I brought the image into Photoshop to do some further tweaking.
